Yes, it's true: I'm leaving TUAW

With over a month since my last post, you could be forgiven for thinking that all activity here has died off. Amazingly, that’s not the case. With the (impending) arrival of RapidWeaver 4, my job at Realmac will be changing - from Support Ninja to PR Ninja*. As a result of this change, and the insurmountable conflict of interest that would arise by staying at TUAW, I will be parting with my good friends at TUAW as of tomorrow evening (that’s Sunday 25th May). My parting shot will be my (late-night, caffeine-powered) appearance on the weekly talkcast to chat about the last 9 months at one of the most widely-read Apple blogs out there. The fun kicks off at 9pm EST Sunday evening / 2am BST Monday morning over on Talkshoe.

I’d guess that one question is: why the sudden departure? The answer is partly it’s purely short notice to the general public (i.e. you’re finding out later than some!). The other part I’ll leave as an exercise for the reader to compute :-)

Freakin' Lasers!

Teh Support Ninja!1!

I'm very fond of the awesome 'Ninja' graphic that's my avatar at Realmac and on 'teh internets' (the entire set of them being here). Handing over business cards with the ninja on always seem to impress people, however the business card may have, just, been out-done by the laser-etched skate decks that arrived at Realmac HQ on Friday. They're absolutely brilliantly done by the folks at 5280 Lasers, and the photos don't really do them justice. All I can say is: they rock.
